Medical Courier Elite: Product Features
Medical Courier Elite™ is a logistics management, specimen tracking and medical courier management system that utilizes a web-based administrative tool, along with durable Pocket PC devices running Microsoft Pocket PC® 2003 or Microsoft Windows Mobile® (Version 5, 6, or 6.1) to manage medical courier services and track individual specimens originating from the referring physician office.
Specimen Outreach Process
Couriers begin their day by transferring digital route sheets from MCE database to the handheld device. 
At each stop, specimens are scanned and any comments or requests are entered into the handheld device. Once all samples are entered, an electronic signature documents the specimen pickup. Courier arrival, duration, and departure times are stored for every visit. 
Once in the laboratory, collected specimen information is transferred from the handheld device to the MCE web-based laboratory database. Any misplaced specimens are immediately identified for corrective action. 
Handheld devices are synchronized with main database. Lab personnel have quick access to specimen tracking, courier productivity and client history. Improvements to outreach process are easily made with review of captured data.
